I've always loved beauty, and to this day I’m the go-to girl when friends and family have a beauty question. I created the Beauty Guru blog in 2008 as a platform to share my favourite tips with friends and family.

I started working in the industry when I was sixteen, and went on to work for various beauty brands in store, then in sales. I trained as a makeup artist in my twenties and spent over 15 years working as a freelance makeup artist, specialising in wedding makeup.

Over the years Beauty Guru has evolved - as have I - and these days I'm equally passionate about living a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle as I am about makeup and skincare.

When I'm not immersed in the world of beauty, I’m mum to Lucia and Valentina, and live in coastal Hawke’s Bay on a lifestyle block. I’m an avid reader and love nothing more than curling up with a cup of tea and a book.
