Just because summer has gone, it doesn't mean your skin needs to lose its glow.

Highlighting is a trend that won't quit, and for good reason. Glowing, illuminated skin looks fresh and healthy, and can be achieved easily regardless of your makeup preferences.

Beauty Guru favourites from left to right: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter, NARS Liquid Illuminator in Hot Sand, M.A.C fan brush, M.A.C Strobe Cream.

To get a full beam effect

Layer it up. Use an illuminating primer, dewy foundation, liquid highlight, and powder highlight. Great for normal to dry skin types - oilier, breakout prone skin will do better with powder highlight only.

To hit the high points of your face in a flash

Use a fan brush to lightly sweep highlighting powder on the tops of your cheekbones, the tip of your nose, cupids bow, and on the brow bone (above and below the eyebrow). Use your product sparingly and layer on more if you need to.

To create a low-maintenance glow

Use a liquid illuminator on bare skin for a quick, easy glow. Buff in with a fluffy brush or pat on with a Beauty Blender.

To get holiday ready

A light coat of self-tan on the face will give a beautiful sun-kissed look. Amplify your tan with a dewy facial sunscreen and a liquid illuminator on the high points of the face.
